THINK BIG (Part Four)

For every delicacy prepared, there are vital ingredients and for every good building erected, there are specific materials needed. Your thinking has to be constructive, focused at an endpoint that is eternally rewarding. The vital ingredients for this all profiting venture are as follows.

1.  A clear sense of vision and purpose: The first step to real success is the clear knowledge of what you want to succeed in. A clear sense of vision prevents your thinking from stinking and saves you from sinking in the ocean of mediocrity. Making a clear cut definition of your vision prevents you from being cut up in the web of complacency and stagnation. It enables you to navigate through the hazy and gloomy circumstances without losing focus of where you are going. It saves you many distractions. It points you towards a higher ground than you've been.

2.  The Discovery of your Gifts: Gifts are the working tools given to men by God to achieve predetermined goals. The timely discovery and efficient use of your gifts launches you beyond limitations. Please note that potentials are elastic but without elastic limit. The more you stretch them, the more they stretch. When it dawn on you that you've got something within you to climb higher, you will be prompted to continually task your inner man to place greater demands on life per time. It is your gifts that will create room for you in the world of excellence.

3.  Information: You can only think within the confines of what and how much you know. There are a lot of utilizable opportunities around you but ignorance may keep them under the veil forever. You can't pursue what you don't know and expect fulfillment. You must possess the relevant information both in quantity and quality about the stock of potentials inherent in you and the stock of opportunities inherent in your environment. This will help you to task your brain all the time.

4.  The knowledge of God's promises: Know God's promises for your life. The promises you are not aware of, you cannot claim. The size of God's promises should determine the size of your thinking. Dream big and trust God for provision and He will certainly provide, so long you have the capacity to manage and utilize the resources.

5.  A winning mentality: Losers are not always strong enough to bear the wait of big dreams. If you think you can't, then its game over. Those who win in their mind can never be defeated.

6.  The desire for unending excellence: Only those who aspire for more acquire more. When your desire for excellence expires, you retire to the empire of mediocre and you may end up being ejected from the community of highflyers. Be contented with what you've achieved so far but never settle for it. Always ask yourself "what's next" after each phase of achievement and keep lifting the bar.

7.  A good company: Birds of a feather they say flock together. Surround yourself with people who will continually place greater demands on your abilities per time. People who will continually point you to a higher ground and will be ready to draw you up the ladder. Please note that big dreams are very heavy and it takes a big heart to bear them to fruition. Working with average minded people will limit your dreams.
